Welcome to the official website of the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It is truly a privilege and pleasure to greet you as the 18th president of this award-winning chapter. Our chapter prides itself on excellence in sisterhood and service. PGCAC has been a presence in Prince George’s County since its chartering on March 31, 1974.
As members of this illustrious organization, we continue the vision of our Founders set forth more than 106 years ago. As a chapter, we are excited about our opportunities to continue our efforts to maximize our public service footprint throughout the Prince George’s County communities. We will continue to focus on key areas that are in alignment with our Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
Our programs are designed to be an intrinsic part of our neighborhoods, working to transform lives and impact our community with public service activities that include, but are not limited to, providing academic awards through scholarships for our youth, food pantry distributions, various support for “third-world” countries, enrichment programs and projects for our youth, voter education/registration, and advocacy for public policies that meet the needs of every group in our society.
We thank you for visiting our website in an effort to learn more about our chapter. We encourage you to visit our website frequently to stay abreast of important community announcements and upcoming program events.
